February is National Cancer Prevention month. Did you know that a majority of the 1.5 million cancers that are diagnosed in the U.S. every year could be prevented? Follow these guidelines from American Institute for Cancer Research to help reduce your risk of cancer. Three factors that we can control have a lot to do with our risk of developing this terrible disease:

What we eat – Choose mostly or all plant foods, avoid or limit animal foods.

How much we weigh – Aim to be a healthy weight throughout life. This is easy to do on a whole foods, plant-based diet.

How much we move – Be physically active every day for 30 minutes (walking, running, taking the stairs).
